Just Us

Justice is not sharing
With the poor
The clothes which overflow our closets
Or the food which can not be eaten
Or the few extra coins which weigh down our pockets.

Justice is rather discovering why
We have over-filled closets
Too much to eat
And pockets filled with coins
While others have nothing.

Justice is trying to discover
Why this injustice exists
And changing
So all can live in dignity.

Justice is not about
Just Us
